Whether you spell it doughnut or donut, it’s a great day when gifts are involved.
Friday, June 3 is National Donut Day, and the country’s two major chains and other stores are celebrating with promotions.
KRISPY KREME: At participating Krispy Kreme locations, you can stop by for a free donut of any kind. No purchase is required. Plus, when you buy a dozen donuts or a 16-count box of minis that day, you can buy a dozen Original Glazed for $1.
Additionally, all customers who enter on donut day will receive a coupon good for a free Mystery Glaze donut the following Friday, June 10.
DUNKIN: This Friday, Dunkin’ customers will receive a free classic donut with the purchase of any drink (while supplies last). What is a classic donut? You have many choices: Boston Kreme, Glazed, Glazed Chocolate, Strawberry Frosted with Sprinkles, among others.
The chain also launched a free coffee Wednesday at California establishments. Every Wednesday, members of Dunkin’s loyalty program, DD Perks, can get a free hot or iced coffee (medium size) with no purchase necessary.
PSYCHO DONUTS: Make any Friday purchase at Psycho’s Westfield Valley Fair mall in Santa Clara, and you’ll receive Crazy Bytes, their goofy donut holes, for free.
7 ELEVEN: From this Friday to Sunday 5, buy a donut and get one free. You must be a member of the 7Rewards loyalty program to take advantage of this offer.
Donuts yum yum: This SoCal-based chain, with nearly 90 locations in California, doesn’t have a Donut Day offer per se, but offers its rewards club members 14 donuts in every dozen boxes.
