HP Hood LLC of Lynnfield, Massachusetts recalled 4,481 cases of Planet Oats Planet Oat Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter & Chocolate Swirl Non-Dairy Frozen Dessert Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough with a best before date of December 17, 2022.

The recall was triggered when a customer discovered that a Chocolate Peanut Butter Swirl product, which contains peanuts, was packaged in a container of chocolate chip cookie dough, which does not contain the peanut allergen statement , according to a announcement with the United States Food and Drug Administration.

People who are allergic or sensitive to peanuts are at risk of a serious or even life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products.

The frozen desserts were distributed to retail stores nationwide.

The product details are:

  • Non-dairy frozen dessert Planet Oat Chocolate Peanut Butter Swirl, 16 oz, item number 70986 and UPC 44100709869.
  • Non-dairy frozen dessert Planet Oat Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, 16 oz, item number 70990 and UPC 44100709906.

People who purchased the dessert can return it to the place of purchase for a refund.
