This Christmas week, there are plenty of delicious new beers to try in Sioux Falls, and we’ve got a sneak peek at them all.
Brewsletter holiday edition: Argus ‘Litre’ is the tangy blackberry pie you need, and the Red Room is the La Source vanilla bean beignet delight of your dreams.

Woodgrain Brewing Co.
There are four new beer releases on tap for Woodgrain’s holiday release week.
The ‘Argus Liter’ is a Brambleberry Pie Sour collaboration with editor Cory Myers and the Argus Leader team. We may be biased, but we think this one is pretty delicious. It tastes like the truth, with a sweet and sour edge.
Other releases at Woodgrain:
Night Work B (Lot #002)
Imperial milk stout. Coming from a barrel on Hy-Vee on Sycamore Avenue. Blanton’s Bourbon Barrel, and aged six months.
Double Dry Hop Snobby IPA (Lot #500)
India Pale Ale, lined with dry hops for Woodgrain’s 500th batch of this beer. Aggressive, big taste and aroma characterize this round of DDH Snobbery.
Night work from 2018
Smooth, the last of this barrel from this first round of batches of the stout.
A family beer
Oakley Doakily Red Sour Ale
Christmas Eve outing
Yes, that’s how it’s spelled. This Flanders Red is a sour beer brewed with Perle hops. Aged in oak barrels, it has distinct, clean, fruity, sour and tart cherry flavors. Reddish brown in color, its airy acetic acid gives way to an intense fruitiness. Tart, at first it turns into a robust impression of sour cherry and berries.
Remedy Brewing Co.
Antarctic Legion Winter Heater
This is a caramel-y, nutty dark ale with wonderful winter spices; an easy-drinking beer to warm you up all winter long.
Miner Brewing Co.
Collect it while you can. Miner Brewing Co. is closed December 24 and 25 and will be open again for late 2021 with this flavor, while supplies last. Heller Bock is full of flavor with hints of malt on the nose and on the palate. A slight hop bitterness and a dry, crisp finish make this a truly refreshing lager: brewed in the winter to be enjoyed in the winter.
Look’s Brewing Co.
A classic Hefeweizen with big banana notes and a hint of clove.
Donuts, cherry pie and Double Milk Stout coffee, oh my.
Look’s Beer Co. has teamed up with Fly Boy Donuts, Queen City Bakery and The Source for this decadent Double Milk Stout. Three dozen raspberry jelly donuts from Fly Boy and six cherry pies from Queen City puffed up this milk stout, then added coffee from The Source, specially roasted for this vanilla bean beer.
That’s it for this week’s brewsletter. Please have a wonderful holiday.
