What kind of person serves donuts when they get married? Me. I am that kind of person. Luckily my wife too, otherwise these treats wouldn’t have been part of our special day. But while we served donuts at our wedding, they weren’t wedding donuts. Not like the ones you can now buy from the Krispy Kreme stores below. In Australia, the donut chain offers the option to say “yes” with wedding-themed treats.

The new “The Wedding Dozen” donuts from Krispy Kreme Australia (which we first discovered at DesignTAXI) are as beautiful as they look. Custom candies include the company’s Original Glazed Yeast Donuts. They are then “hand dipped” in a “creamy white chocolate truffle” icing. Krispy Kreme then finishes them off with a drizzle of truffle icing, as well as a “dusting” of white pearl sugar. When stacked and arranged together, they make a striking addition to any wedding. Something that can also easily replace a traditional wedding cake.

Or they can serve as a delicious late-night bonus for guests who have whetted their appetites on the dance floor. Believe me, I’ve known it from my own marriage: drunk people love surprise donuts. People who are sober too.

Unfortunately, “The Wedding Dozen” does not have its own booth. And you’ll also need to provide some extra decorations if you want to turn yours into something more than just a box of donuts. But if you order these exclusives online, you’ll have plenty of pieces to work with. A single dozen costs $ 39.95, and you must order at least three dozen. You can, however, get individual donut boxes. In case you want to make wedding gifts out of it.

There is no wrong way to serve or eat them. Because the best thing about donuts, wedding themes or whatever: no one will ever object.
