RICHMOND, UTAH — Casper’s Ice Cream, maker of Jolly Llama and FatBoy frozen desserts, is launching new vegan and gluten-free offerings in the ice cream aisle.
The Jolly Llama brand is launching new dairy-free and gluten-free sandwiches consisting of a coconut ice cream alternative sandwiched between two gluten-free chocolate wafers made with rice flour and pea fiber. Non-GMO Project Verified, Certified Gluten-Free, and Vegan, the treats are available in Vanilla and Cool Mint Chocolate Chip flavors. Each sandwich contains 120 to 160 calories.
Jolly Llama is also adding dairy-free and gluten-free cones to its portfolio, with an alternative to coconut ice cream in a chocolate-lined gluten-free cone made with rice flour. Non-GMO Project Verified, Certified Gluten-Free, and Vegan, the cones are available in Caramel Chocolate Chip and Vanilla Fudge Sundae varieties. Each cone contains 260 to 310 calories.

The FatBoy brand is making its first foray into the gluten-free market with new gluten-free ice cream sandwiches and gluten-free ice cream cones. The sandwiches, available in a premium vanilla variety, feature vanilla ice cream sandwiched between two gluten-free chocolate wafers made with rice flour and pea fiber. The new gluten-free ice cream cone features vanilla ice cream with chocolate chip pieces and a ribbon of fudge, all topped with a drizzle of chocolate in a chocolate-lined gluten-free cone made from flour rice.
